Te Whanau Tupu Ngatahi o Aotearoa - Playcentre Aotearoa is a well known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 70 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children's learning through play. Playcentre operates over 400 Playcentres throughout the country.
The Playcentre PLD team are inviting applications from experienced kaiako for the adult learning programmes within Playcentre. PLD Facilitators deliver professional development programmes to staff and centre whanau, with programmes centred around children's learning, curriculum and pedagogical leadership.
The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of early learning and how to inspire adults, with a solid knowledge of Playcentre's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, whanau-led education and learning through play.Experience facilitating adult education, experience working in Playcentres and a Level 4+ ECE qualification are a must.

This role offers the flexibility of a potential work-from-home arrangement and opportunities to engage with various Playcentres across the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua regions.
We will review applications upon receipt and may appoint at any time.
Desired Skills and Experience: an ECE qualification at Level 4+ (i.e., the NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) or the NZ Diploma (Level 5) or an ECE-teaching qualification or Course 4 of the Playcentre Diploma).
Qualifications in adult teaching and learning preferred, and/or willingness to undertake further study.
Prior experience in a similar position, and ECE or Playcentre experience is useful
Must demonstrate the principles and values of Te Whare Tikanga Maori
Excellent relationship management skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Organised - excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Flexibility to travel and work remotely as required from time to time
Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
