Cardiac Sonographer - Professional Lead Sonography and Clinical Physiology
Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth
1.0 FTE (80 hours per fortnight) - Permanent Position - Monday to Friday
The cardiology and respiratory department provides a wide range of services including the following: Diagnostic Coronary Angiography, Echocardiography (Adult and Paeds) - TTE and TOE, Holter monitoring, Respiratory diagnostics, Exercise tolerance testing, Chemical and physical perfusion scans and Pacemaker/ICD monitoring and management. You will have up to 0.4 FTE non-clinical time assigned to develop the workforce, existing quality assurance framework and SOPs. You must be able to provide supervision to trainee sonographers, implement a peer review programme and develop professional improvement opportunities for the team.
You will have the opportunity to:
Work with the latest model GE: E95 Echo Machines and reporting software. These machines provide 3D and strain capability for both TTE and TOE.
Provide professional leadership to Cardiac Sonographers as well as Cardiac and Respiratory Physiologists.
Join a team of highly skilled professionals who aim to ensure efficient service delivery and provide a patient-focused service.
Maintain, identify and pursue opportunities for developing new knowledge and skills.
Strive to eliminate health inequalities and achieve health equity for the Taranaki population.
