The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) is seeking an experienced Professional Development Advisor to deliver our over-arching educational strategy, oversee the delivery of our education and accreditation programmes and grow our community of trained sustainability professionals servicing Aotearoa's property and construction sector.This is a key role for the NZGBC, a not-for-profit, for-purpose industry organisation dedicated to accelerating the development of sustainable building practices across Aotearoa New Zealand. The role will interact with the team, members, education professionals, and property and construction industry professionals to deliver targeted courses that assist in developing and delivering knowledge and skills that support maintaining professional accreditations.To take on this role, you'll need to draw on your understanding of adult learning principles and your prior experience within a training design and delivery role.Your engaging and excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role.Key Responsibilities:Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure training programmes reflect the latest developments in sustainable building certifications including Green Star, NABERSNZ, Homestar and HomeFit.Support members in participating in events and training to build their CPD points and maintain their professional accreditations.Maintain the training calendar, support customer troubleshooting, and provide key information about NZGBC accreditations.Oversee pre- and post-training administration, manage customer interactions, and track attendance records.Lead the Future Thinkers (youth) programme, managing stakeholder relationships, sponsors, and the annual Future Thinker of the Year campaign.Coordinate NZGBC exam processes and guide individuals toward obtaining accreditations.Oversee e-learning modules and monitor the effectiveness of training programs.Foster partnerships with technical experts and industry stakeholders while collaborating with the technical team to ensure courses reflect evolving industry needs.Support course facilitators nationally.Budgeting, planning, and general administration.Assist the Events Manager with event logistics, including pre- and post-event coordination.Promote courses via newsletters and manage related website content.Handle course registrations and attendee management.Key Skills & Experience:Experience with eLearning software and blended training programs.Preferred experience in customer relationship management systems, HubSpot preferred.A flexible approach, and a positive can-do attitude.Excellent organisational, customer service, and communication abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management.Passion for sustainability, climate change, and communications driving behavioural change.If you're ready to drive sustainability through education, send your CV and cover letter to (email protected).We look forward to hearing from you!
