This critical role is responsible for executing routine test plans to ensure our products are assembled to meet our customer quality requirements. Our Production Test Technician coordinates the resources required to support the planning and implementation of test plans and the production testing activities. High-level team cooperation and communication skills are essential to enable cooperation and team work alongside multiple business areas. Other interesting tasks include problem solving, maintaining our testing equipment, updating test plans and specifications, and compiling reports. Plan, resource and implement routine testing of products according to test plans in cooperation with other business areas Producing test reports for review according to the applicable standard for the tested product Updating the required technical support documents Cooperating with the technical specialists to identify and recommend solutions related to product non-conformities Assisting and supporting the external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB products or external customer products Proposing improvements in the existing test set-up techniques, methods, and sequences based on experience and knowledge of new trends and equipment Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followedQualifications for the roleElectrical or electronics experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience operating electrical test equipment, e.g. multimeter and oscilloscope.Experience in operating and / or construction of production test equipment.Ability to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams and three-line diagrams.Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of Linux command line.A strong communicator and excellent collaboratorBenefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Accident insurance Flexible work practices More about usABB Smart Power is a global technology leader, with products and solutions that make power supplies smart, connected and protected.
