As a Production Test Technician at Rocket Lab, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our aerospace mechanical & electrical components. Your primary responsibilities will involve rigorous testing and qualification of mechanical hardware, as well as proficient operation and maintenance of testing machinery. You will be expected to perform complex testing and integration tasks with a high level of precision and expertise.This is a full-time position (40 hours), 4-day work week. Monday to Thursday: 3:30pm - 02:00am.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Operating vibration tables and vacuum chambersWork with Development Engineers on space flight hardware, reaction wheels & spacecraftSupport Neutron R&D testing of flight and development hardwareCryogenic & gaseous support test equipmentPrecision inspection of mechanical componentsYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to demonstrate 2+ years of relevant industry experienceFamiliarity with the operation of vibe/shaker tableExperience with compiling concise and accurate test reportsPrecision mechanical and/or electrical assembly experienceHands on, comfortable working with basic toolsComfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen serviceHave a good level of eyesight and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standardTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Trade qualified in Automotive, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Fitter/Turner or similarExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenThe ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomouslyAble to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawingsA high work ethic, always seeking more responsibilityTakes initiative and remains calm under pressureComputer literate, and comfortable using smartphones and tabletsIf you meet all or some of the above criteria apply now!
