Production Technician

Details of the offer

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Plastic Moulder Technician to join our busy team due to an increased workload and maternity leave coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the moulding process, set up and operate plastic moulding machinery.
Trim, fabricate, and assemble plastic parts in the workshop.
Use various power tools including plasma cutters, band saws, angle grinders, drills, and nail guns.
Support production quality control and equipment safety checks.
Work closely with the experienced team for on-the-job training.
Requirements:
Experience with power tools (plasma cutters, angle grinders, welding machines, etc.).
Previous moulding experience is ideal, but training will be provided.
Valid Full Class 1 driver's license (for operating a work vehicle and trailer).
Forklift license (OSH) is a bonus!
Strong physical fitness (heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks).
Able to self-manage and work effectively in a team.
Comfortable working in a hot environment (the workshop gets warm over the summer).
Days/Hours:
Tuesday to Friday, 4:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Christmas Shutdown: December 20th to January 7th.
This role is to support the team in managing an increased workload and to assist with maternity leave cover. Because of this, there is an end date around March 25th, 2025. However, there is still the potential for temp-to-perm based on performance and business needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
$25 p/h
Ice blocks and hydration electrolytes are provided in the hot summer months.
