Our Opportunity The role of the Production Team Leader is an integral member of the Production and Site leadership team with management responsibilities for a high performing team and team culture. The Production Team Leader ensures production is delivered in a cost effective manner.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Shift Production team to ensure that resources are correctly allocated to deliver on Key Performance measures including DIFOT, Waste %, OEE, giveaway, line utilization, productivity, and complaints per million. Mentor and develop direct reports to make timely decisions related to production and warehousing. Deliver high quality finished product by ensuring compliance to all Food Safety Systems and escalate issues in a timely manner. Oversee plant hygiene by ensuring cleaning occurs at correct times and to the correct standard. Implement and maintain measurement systems to meet changing business needs, including the OFS and SAP systems. Ensure accurate and timely reporting requirements are met. Manage the shift production team through effective communication techniques, including toolbox meetings and focused improvement groups. Elevate issues related to SHE, Quality, and delivery in a timely manner, utilizing agreed processes. Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives as outlined in the site roadmap. Develop, introduce and maintain visual workplace KPIs for production line teams. About You To be successful in your application, you will have: Experience in food manufacturing at a Team Lead or Supervisory level. Machine operation and/or engineering management practice. Exposure to Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems. A great attitude towards health and safety. Ability to drive performance. Effective communication skills.
