Auckland BioSciences is a multi-award-winning Life Sciences company where we manufacture and export high-quality raw materials for use in the pharmaceutical industry. We are constantly expanding our operations and creating new roles to keep up with our fast growth.
We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Hamilton. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly overseeing a team of 3-4, together with our Head of Production, ensuring that high production standards are maintained.
About this role:
6 month fixed-term
Hourly rate of $35 (minimum 30 hours per week)
Start ASAP
Full ongoing training provided
Responsibilities:
Overseeing raw material collection processes in a Hamilton-based abattoir
Reporting on the third-party collection team to ensure hygiene, process, and production standards are met
Assisting with the storage, loading, and shipment
General cleaning of the production area
Managing production-related record keeping
Assisting with maintaining and developing quality systems
Co-ordinating consumable ordering (sending and receiving)
Requirements:
Eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ citizen, resident or open work visa)
Available for morning work (usually from 5:30am - 1pm, minimum 30 hours a week)
Fully vaccinated – this is a site entry requirement
Comfortable with working in a meat factory and handling animal by-products
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, meat processing or food production environment (preferred but not essential)
Able to enforce discipline when required
Physically fit for regular heavy lifting
Competent user of Microsoft Office suite (mainly Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Own reliable transport and full driver licence
Clean criminal record
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
