Your leading will happen on the floor, where you influence and motivate the team to meet production requirements. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Daily Start of Line department meeting, provide production updates, targets and expectations via communication board updates, with this forum utilised to drive team engagement.Facilitating efficient interaction between work centres, departments/areas to ensure best flow of product, on time deliveries and priority completion.Key Driver of Competitive edge and 5S within the department, keeping in line with CE requirements and 5S principles.Endeavour to reduce non-productive waste, and downtime to a minimum via instruction, direction and monitoring of operator's output to ensure that PPPD is achieved and production flow is maximised through collaboration with managers.Ensure stock levels of consumables for the area are maintained and awareness of material requirements are reported to manager and replenished.Weekly reporting on key business metrics.Actively participate in training sessions and improvement meetings.Participate in OHS improvement activities.Make recommendations leading to continuous improvement. Not only in the Mattress department but also as part of the broader operations team.About YouThe successful applicant will be a highly skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the organisation and display the following skills and attributes:Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment is essential.Strong Leadership—the ability to lead with integrity, enthusiasm, energy, consistency, and an action orientation. Be the champion of time management.Experience with performance management, planning and organising.Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
