Production Specialist

JDE Peet's is looking for a committed Production Assistant or Machine Operator or Assembly worker in our factory in Otara, Auckland to work from 3.30pm to midnight, Monday to Friday.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
The world of coffee and tea is an exciting one, and our Auckland factory is an important part of that, therefore there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills across a range of machinery.
This role is vital in ensuring a safe work environment, and the production of high-quality tea and coffee.
Key tasks will include: Operating machineryManufacturing and packaging tea and coffee products to specificationsSetting up machines and/or weighing scales (calibration, cleaning etc.)
to start a production cyclePack, stack and move pallets with the use of a forklift when/if requiredEnsure raw materials accurately flow to the machinesFix any issues that might happen during the shift (including basic troubleshooting) or ask for help to problem solveComplete paperworkMaintain high-quality standards and aim for continuous improvementKeep a clean and safe working environment and make the best use of the space availableComplete quality and production records in line with policies/proceduresReport any issues/non-conformances & wasteLabelling/tagging of bags and packingWork to meet daily targetsProactively managing your own time and work prioritiesCan work both autonomously and as part of a teamQualificationsWe're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
Production Operator experience (ideally within Food, Beverage or Pharma Industries)A forklift licence with operations experience is preferredYou're able to safely lift up to 25kgsWillingness to learn, grow and adapt as production needs changeWillingness to commit full time to the afternoon shift (3.30pm – midnight) including paid overtime as neededYou have your own transport to get to our factory in OtaraIf you think you're up for a new challenge just like this, please grab a cuppa, brush up your CV and apply now (it's really easy, we promise).
