This role leads the production planning function within King Country Pet Food to enable the production teams to meet their commercial requirements and assist them to maximize efficiency. You will be a key conductor and link within the business - responsible for developing, executing, communicating and managing accurate forward scheduling plans and meetings across and relating to the entire production lifecycle. A key part of this role is for you to cleverly balance the variables of customer demand and orders, alongside the availability of raw ingredients, capacity and operational production requirements. There are many moving parts, and engagement points across their procurement, sales, R&D, quality and compliance teams.
Knowledge of market access and food safety requirements will be important here. You must have strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This opportunity will be suited to a seasoned planner who can self-manage and really take the lead in production planning and scheduling for this growing business. Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified. Experience in production supply and demand planning disciplines from within a pet food or food manufacturing business, and familiarity with key ERP/MRP systems and planning concepts will see you held in high regard. You must be able to lead people from across the business and drive performance.
