About the Role: As a Production Process Technician, your primary responsibility is to operate and monitor machinery involved in the melting and batching processes. This crucial role ensures the efficient and precise production of insulation products. You will troubleshoot any machinery or automation issues, contribute to product changes under the guidance of the Team Leader, and maintain high housekeeping standards in a hazardous environment. Your technical competence, quick learning abilities, and commitment to safety are integral to the smooth functioning of a world-class manufacturing facility, running 24/7. Set up and monitor machines Troubleshooting machines / automation issues Assist the Team Leader with product changes Communicate effectively with the rest of the team Maintain housekeeping standards About You: To be successful in this role, you would ideally have: 2 years production experience Reliable, and can do 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights – 4 days off) Proven track record in efficiently operating a variety of machines, e.g. CNC machines Knowledge in precision engineering and mechanical assembly Previous experience working in a melting facility, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of melting processes and equipment Knowledge and hands-on experience in steel making plants, with a deep understanding of steel manufacturing processes Demonstrated skills and familiarity with injection moulding processes, contributing to a diverse set of manufacturing capabilities Excellent English and can communicate effectively with the rest of the team Applicants will undergo pre-employment checks, including a Criminal History check, medical examination, and drug & alcohol testing. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a requirement.
