Our Invercargill site, which boasts a close-knit, family-feel team, is on the hunt for a Production Operator working in our casting unit. The current employee in this role has taken a step in another direction within Pyrotek, as we are all about career growth! This leaves room for a new employee to join the team! You may not be a Casting Operator currently. You might have transferable skillsets and a fantastic attitude. Either way, we want to hear from you.In this role, you would be responsible for duties such as:Production of small shape castable products - Mixing of raw materials, pouring to moulds, demoulding and finishing/shaping/measuring as required.Upkeep of tooling/moulds.Loading and unloading of refractory furnace/kilns.QA inspection - Quality is key before our product walks out the door!Reading works orders, organising production lead times and schedules with Team Leaders.Supporting our other production operators and store person as required.Support the organisation and delivery of products to one of our largest clients in New Zealand.We are seeking an individual with the motivation to learn a new process and champion those steps. Someone who wishes to take on a role under a supportive team leader and learn the ropes.You will enjoy working with your hands and being on your feet; this is not an office-bound, desk role.You are physically and safely able to lift up to 25Kg.Good communication skills and basic mathematic/writing skills.You may have a forklift license or be willing to get one with an F endorsement - For this reason, a full driver's license is preferred.You may have had exposure in a similar role, factory-based, machinery-based. You may come from a concrete/casting/mixing background - However, these are only advantageous, not a direct requirement.
