Production Operator

We are seeking experienced Production Operators with the ability to work across different facets of our Hillsborough clients plasterboard manufacturing process. Daily responsibilities will be varied so if you are multi-skilled, intuitive, motivated and safety focused, please read on.

As a machine operator you will be working as part of a team, operating machinery to ensure continuous production. This includes identifying faults and quality assurance.

You may be using a forklift and gantry crane (experience is a bonus but don't worry, full training will be provided).

Plant operation within manufacturing crews.

Process control, following all operating procedures correctlyOperating machines and replenishing linesGeneral manufacturing dutiesRoutine checks of plant operationsComputer-controlled equipmentAbout you:

Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Forklift licence and OSH Certificate along with current NZ driver's licence a bonusHigh degree of mechanical aptitude and technical problem solvingPhysically fit and the ability to safely handle heavy equipment and productGood written and verbal communication skills and numerical calculationsSelf-motivated and able to work within a teamAble to prioritise and meet deadlinesSafe work practices and Health and Safety awarenessAfter your initial training period you MUST be willing to work on a rotating roster:

4 days on 4 days off - 2 day shifts (7am to 7pm), then 2 night shifts (7pm to 7am)
