To focus on the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations, striving for best practice and meeting ambitious plans for growth.You will enjoy the daily demands of health products or food processing and have a strong understanding of the key drivers in the processing and packaging of fmcg products.The role.The business is diverse in that it provides ingredients to other businesses, contract manufacturing capability and its own branded consumer products.As Production Operations Manager, you will be responsible for operational and performance accountability within a compliance focussed environment.Specific responsibilities includeThe leadership of a mid-sized team: staff development, coaching and mentoring and performance management.Building a continuous improvement culture that embraces strong positive behavioural and teamwork traits.Responsibility for quality outcomes – meeting customer expectations, GMP standards and company guidelines and ensuring any deviations and customer complaints are owned, investigated and rectified.Departmental financial managementYour understanding of manufacturing performance will enable you to empower the team to focus on what excellence looks like and what needs to be done to achieve it.
