Our factory upgrade is in the last stage of completion; processing efficiency has improved significantly; our new ERP system is about to go live; and demand for our delicious sauces and condiments is higher than ever.Our factory team is amazing: skilled, helpful, friendly and focused. We are creating a senior coordination role overseeing all the pre-processing and cooking functions including daily ordering of ingredients and packaging, recipe weigh out, bulk-chopping and roasting, and blending and cooking in a range of cookers (200Kg cooker, one and two tonne cookers, Tetrapak processor, and mayonnaise emulsifiers).RequirementsExperience in leading a team (five years plus)Proven success in managing change, building and maintaining professional relationships, achieving goals with good humour, integrating business acumen into team operations, coaching, and conflict resolutionAt least three years' experience in food manufacturing, ideally in industrial scale batch production preparation and cookingMinimum of six months' experience in running a Tetrapak B300 (or similar) machineGreat mechanical and electronic aptitudeA calm, solution-focused personality with a great sense of humour to thrive in a dynamic production environmentSuccess in the role will be evident by Springbrook having:Most effective use of limited human resources across specialist areasUninterrupted supply of in-spec product to packing functionsContinuous improvement in up-time and throughputOn-line teams living Springbrook's values and culturePeople being safe and injury-freeProduct meeting all food safety and quality specificationsFull traceability of all process stepsKey responsibilities include:Planning and organising the production of roughly 250 different food productsOverseeing production processes and adjusting schedules as necessarySupporting and guiding team membersDeveloping and monitoring standard operating proceduresEnsuring compliance with NZ food safety and hygiene requirementsCommunicating regularly with team members and corporate functionsScheduling new product trials with food technologistsPresenting information at various meetingsFostering continuous improvement in pre-processing and cooking functionsMonitoring processes and maintaining accurate recordsIdentifying and minimising wasteOrganising maintenance and repairsApplying a just-culture and taking necessary disciplinary actionsKey terms of employmentHours: full-time (minimum 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday morningsLocation: Blenheim, MarlboroughApplications accepted from today, 19 November up to 3.00pm on 11 December 2024Please note: our greatest asset is our people.
