Springbrook Foods is continuing to grow. Our factory upgrade is in the last stage of completion; processing efficiency has improved significantly; our new ERP system is about to go live; and demand for our delicious sauces and condiments is higher than ever.
Our factory team is amazing: skilled, helpful, friendly and focused. We are creating a senior coordination role overseeing all the pre-processing and cooking functions including daily ordering of ingredients and packaging, recipe weigh out, bulk-chopping and roasting, and blending and cooking in a range of cookers (200Kg cooker, one and two tonne cookers, Tetrapak processor, and mayonnaise emulsifiers).
Requirements
Experience in leading a team (five years plus)
Proven success in managing change, building and maintaining professional relationships, achieving goals with good humour, integrating business acumen into team operations, coaching, and conflict resolution
At least three years' experience in food manufacturing, ideally in industrial scale batch production preparation and cooking
Minimum of six months' experience in running a Tetrapak B300 (or similar) machine
Great mechanical and electronic aptitude
A calm, solution-focused personality with a great sense of humour to thrive in a dynamic production environment

Key responsibilities include:
Planning and organising the production of roughly 250 different food products
Overseeing production processes and adjusting schedules as necessary
Supporting and guiding team members
Developing and monitoring standard operating procedures
Ensuring compliance with NZ food safety and hygiene requirements
Communicating regularly with team members and corporate functions
Scheduling new product trials with food technologists
Presenting information at various meetings
Fostering continuous improvement in pre-processing and cooking functions
Monitoring processes and maintaining accurate records
Identifying and minimising waste
Organising maintenance and repairs
Applying a just-culture and taking necessary disciplinary actions
Key terms of employment
Hours : full-time (minimum 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday mornings
Location : Blenheim, Marlborough
