As we expand, we are looking for a highly skilled Production Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview: As the Production Manager , you will oversee and manage all aspects of the production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
You will play a crucial role in meeting production targets while maintaining compliance with industry standards, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day pet food production operations to meet output, quality, and efficiency goals.
Supervise and lead production staff, ensuring proper training and development.
Monitor production schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with R&D, quality control, and other departments to improve product formulations and production techniques.
Identify opportunities to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
Implement and uphold safety protocols and ensure all workers comply with safety guidelines.
Report on production performance, including efficiency metrics, material usage, and production costs.
Qualifications & Skills: Tertiary Qualification Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing/production environment, preferably in pet food.
Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory standards for pet food manufacturing.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Experience with production planning, quality control, and process optimization.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
