We are committed to delivering high-quality products through lean manufacturing principles and have some big shoes to fill as our current staff member is heading into retirement.About the roleAs the Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our operations, overseeing all aspects of production from planning and scheduling to quality assurance, customer relationship management, and all the bits in between.
This position offers a blend of leadership, strategic input, and hands-on involvement in a unique manufacturing environment.
A typical day will see you responsible for the following:Lead and manage a dedicated team to ensure efficient production operations.Implement and uphold lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and minimize waste.Purchase all raw materials and maintain adequate inventory levels while controlling costs.Oversee the execution of production plans to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.Manage bill of materials (BOM) and production documentation.Manage export documentation and compliance to ensure smooth international shipments (We are an MPI transitional facility and GMP/BioGro certified).Collaborate closely with customers, understanding their needs and maintaining strong relationships.Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain a safe working environment, championing health and safety protocols.About youIdeally, you will come from a similar role in a related industry such as personal care, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing.
A knowledge of contract manufacturing would be a huge bonus but is not a necessity.
You will, however, come with a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their practical application.
