Production Manager (Food & Kitchens) - ESS Waiouru Less than 30 minutes travel from Ohakune/Taihape/Turangi Free uniform and PPE as well as parking should you prefer to make use of your own transport ESS has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Production Manager (Food & Kitchens)  to drive results at this growing defence site - NZDF Waiouru, Ruapehu District.
The purpose of this role is to organise and manage the kitchens within Waiouru , this also includes but not limited to transportation, logistics and culinary production in accordance with the standards required by Compass Group and ESS. 
Come work in one of NZ's top adventure sports - Home to Tongariro National Park and Whanganui National Park and two New Zealand Great Walks, there's plenty to see and do in Ruapehu all year round. Waiouru has beautiful mountain views and is only 40 minutes away during the winter season to Turoa /Whakapapa lodges.
The Production Manager is also responsible for providing great quality services that meet client expectations, the management, development and training of all back of house team members, participating in the menu development processes in conjunction with the Executive Chef and ensuring that all tasks associated with food production, transport and logistics are performed with due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Operational support, i.e advise on procedures and standards, communicate strategy to team, develop strategy to improve process and reduce costs Follow best culinary standards to drive excellence Stay up-to-date with culinary market trends and competitor movements Work collaboratively and cross functionally with members of the Compass Group and the national support services teams to optimise overall Compass Group business performance Monitor financial activities against budget & allocate budget resources Building strong relationships and liaising with stakeholders Lead and coach direct reports Monitors overall talent and capability within the Waiouru to ensure all employees have the skills and abilities to deliver required tasks Ensure staff are crossed trained so they can work across multiple areas If you are our ideal candidate you will:
