Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.Job DescriptionAbout this opportunityThe Production Manager will lead the Extrusion Manufacturing function at the Wellington facility. This includes providing leadership and direction to the Extrusion Operations Team, ensuring the efficient management of resources in line with market demand, and striving to create a world-class manufacturing environment focused on Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost.Your key responsibilities will be to:Achieve zero LTIs and 100% compliance with safety policies, while driving process efficiency with a target OEE score of 85% or higher and optimizing product specifications to ensure zero defects.Lead Continuous Improvement projects, reducing production waste and downtime by 5%, and implementing 5S methodology.Ensure adherence to FSSC22000 and HACCP standards, conduct ISO audits with no major non-conformances, and achieve a 95% quality target compliance.Develop a comprehensive training program, maintain low staff turnover, and foster strong stakeholder relationships to align production goals.Ensure proactive equipment maintenance for a 10% reduction in downtime.Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you'll have:5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (food or plastics industry)Production management experience leading a team of 20 to 25.Experienced using production aspects of MRP systems.SAP knowledge and experience.The ability to learn new computer systems i.e. SAP, Esker.To have a sound understanding of & can operate effectively Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.Additional InformationWhy Join Us?Work for a company dedicated to sustainability and leading the circular economy.Take advantage of opportunities for professional growth and development as the company continues to expand.Be part of a supportive and engaging work environment.Location:Lower Hutt, Wellington, New ZealandWorking Hours:7:00am to 4:00pmHow to apply:If this role sounds like you, please click on the apply button and follow the prompts.
