AICA NZ Limited operates one of New Zealand's largest formaldehyde-based synthetic resins plants and is part of the AICA group of companies with manufacturing facilities in New Plymouth and Nelson.
An opportunity has arisen for a Production Day Operator to work on site at our Bell Block plant. This position forms part of a small team who are responsible for the safe operation of the plant and the production, testing and dispatch of products to our customers. This is an entry level position ideal providing an opportunity for hands on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Duties will include:
Truck Loading and product dispatch
Receiving Inwards goods
Inventory Management
Manufacture of selected products
Laboratory Testing
Monitoring and operating plant, process, and equipment.
Commitment to 5S improvement projects.
Key attributes sought include:
Mechanical or Chemical Process Knowledge or Experience
Computer and/or DCS experience
Mathematical aptitude
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Great planning and organizational skills
Health and Safety focused
A motivated team player with a positive CAN-DO attitude
This position is fixed term for a period of one year.
