We manufacture high quality meat snacks supplying both local and export markets.At Jack Link's NZ we are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Crew Leader to join the Raw Side of our Production Plant.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of this role is to act in command of the area or department in the absence of the Area Manager. This role can support the Area Manager with Day-to-Day tasks that are not limited to production and people support of the team in the allocated department. OPERATIONAL TASKSCorrectly ensure product is correct for lines and machines.Set, load, operate, adjust, and unload machines/lines to meet agreed specifications. Visually check product for damage and foreign matter contaminant.Ensure product is cut and formed in accordance with the set quality standards.Ensure that equipment is set to the required settings i.e., Ovens; temperature & humidity settings and adjust thermostatic controls / times as required to achieve quality standards. Ensure all documentation is completed and signed off.Being an active, respectful team member that is reliable and honours work commitments.Get involved with safety, follow the safety rules, speak up and be mindful of risks.Cleaning duties and maintaining a clean workspace. Storing and maintaining materials, equipment, and tools. Identifying and escalating, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESAbility to give direction to the team on a regular basis of routine tasks.Completing Return to work interviews for unplanned absences and following up on unplanned leave. Supporting quality in food safety matters.Supporting health and safety in the absence of the Area Manager.
