This position reports to

Your role and responsibilities
At ABB we produce market leading products that improve energy efficiency for commercial companies. We're looking for a skilled Production Assembler to join our team focused on quality product builds in our Electrification business. Here's an opportunity to develop your assembly expertise and work on a variety of complex assembly and product build activities. Independently check the quality of your work and contribute to meeting our customer delivery deadlines. It's a physical role with long periods of standing. You'll mainly be accountable for:

Following technical diagrams and work instructions to assemble our specialist products.

Operating hand tools both pneumatic and battery powered.

Ensuring componentry is correct given part number and description.

Maintaining high quality standards by conducting regular quality testing and process checks with accurate record keeping.

Compliance with our Health and Safety and Code of Conduct policies.

Qualifications for the role

Ability to demonstrate your skills in electronics, mechanical or electrical engineering.

Skilled in Product Assembly.

Highly skilled in reading and using technical diagrams, instructions and product manuals.

Experience working with hand tools.

A reliable, team player with excellent communication skills and a focus on attention to detail.

You lead by example when it comes to working safely.

Applicants must have New Zealand Residency or the permanent right to work in New Zealand.
