About the role We're looking for a talented Product Owner to join our team on a fixed term contract as part of our Blueprint programme within AXA Commercial. You'll take ownership of ensuring that our product vision reflects the priorities of the business, ultimately leading to the achievement of the anticipated benefits outlined in our business plan. You'll collaborate with release leads and senior stakeholders to drive alignment and engagement. The BluePrint programme is built upon the foundation of transformational changes to the Commercial Operating Model that will deliver the planned GWP, Loss Ratio and Expense Ratio benefits committed to in our strategic business plan. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing Understanding the business needs and validating solutions, being the voice of the business on the programme
Supporting programme work, influencing strategic direction and reflecting in feature production and prioritisation
Playing a key role in prioritising any backlog and representing the business interests in ensuring that delivery is aligned to business needs
Managing and prioritising the flow of work alongside the scrum master
Developing and communicating the programme vision and roadmap to the business working with programme team
Acting as an escalation point for product owners
Representing business views in demonstrations and actively participating in feedback
About you What we're looking for:
In depth experience of Commercial insurance
Previous experience of working in an agile change environment
Excellent understanding of the financial dynamics of the general insurance business
Experience of the end-to-end project lifecycle
Prior experience in a data/analytical role desirable including presenting information to senior stakeholders
Confident to make quick decisions on behalf of the business and to represent the needs/ views of key stakeholders
Experience of working with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive performance improvement across the organisation
Ability to coach and manage a diverse group of product owners from differing business disciplines
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
