A world-class product isn't just a collection of features. Everything needs to work together to create a customer experience bigger than the sum of its parts. As a Product Manager, you will ensure our investments into the product add up to something delightful.
This role is for a Product Manager in the Deploy Group. The Deploy Group is responsible for evolving Octopus Deploy's capabilities and user experience, ensuring we support the technologies and workflows of large enterprises building software.
The compensation of this role is: Level 3 (Product Manager) Maturing: $140k AUD/150k NZD Performing: $150/160k NZD + stock options
Level 4 (Senior Product Manager) Maturing: $165k AUD/$175k NZD Performing : $175k AUD/$190k NZD + stock options
A typical day might include: Build an understanding of our customers' software development lifecycles across a range of industries and technology stacks Manage the direction and plan for your product area: learning from a wide range of inputs, distilling where opportunities exist, and then prioritising work that delivers a positive impact Explore the next wave of opportunities with customers around the world - you will have flexibility and input into the timing of when those conversations happen Collaborate with your team in thinking big, to imagine solutions that solve these problems Scope these solutions to their smallest coherent state to ship to customers as early as you can Constantly evaluate if your solutions have solved the problem through quantitative and qualitative measures Partner with design and engineering leads to keep a quality product experience while supporting a reasonable delivery pace Motivate a group of committed smart people to do the best work of their careers through stories of the purpose and impact of their work We're looking for someone like you who: Has multiple years of experience in a software product role, finding opportunities, making strategic decisions, and learning through multiple release cycles Focuses on outcomes first with examples of how learning and feedback have been incorporated into your strategies and experiences Can clearly communicate and guide discussions with customers and create alignment within the organization across executives, decision-makers, and influencers Represents your product, always looking for opportunities to improve engagement and support customer success Understands software development lifecycles - web and cloud applications are ideal, and we will invest in growing your knowledge Loves technology, and is excited by the potential to solve problems and shape the future Interview process (~3.5 hours total) Here's what you can anticipate in the interview process for this position. It's also your opportunity to gather the details you need to decide if we're the perfect match for you.
Step 1 [40m] – Introduction and Recruiter Screen
Step 2 [50m] – ? Coffee chat interview with a hiring manager and another Octonaut, where we delve into your experience – you will receive a preview of the questions we might ask in advance. We will also take time to answer your questions.
Step 3 [1hr 40m] – Final Team Interview – we explore a product you led in the past and your experience in more depth and introduce you to some of our cross-functional team members. This is another chance to ask us questions on top of mind and learn from various perspectives and experiences of folks on the team.
