Product Manager

Employment type : full-time, permanent Hours per week : 30-50 hours per week Number of vacancies : 1 Position Description & Generic Task List Work closely with Customers and OEM for confirmed sales to ensure correct specification of products.
Coordinate between after sales, customers and the factory to ensure timely resolution of quality, specification and/or other ad-hoc issues.
Actively participate in tenders with Sales team and take overall responsibility for coordinating tender specification, documentation and detailed design.
Facilitate ADR (Australian design rules) compliance of new trucking product line into Australia through working closely with the OEM to achieve this accreditation.
Branch Management Primary contact for inter-branch transfers of Main Machines, Trucks, Buses.
Point of contact for transfers to sub-dealers and service agents of Main Machines, Trucks, Buses.
Overall responsibility for lease of sites.
Administer site management plans and any sub-lessees.
Overall responsibility for group insurance.
Inventory Management Overall responsibility for inventory management of Main Machines, Trucks, Trailers, Buses.
Provide transparent and up to date information to team on inventory status across Main Machines, Trucks, Trailers & Buses.
Manage inventory levels and ensure that any shortages are addressed in a timely manner to avoid any disruption in workflows.
Manage second-hand inventory in line with director of sales to ensure prudent use of working capital.
Logistics Primary contact for international logistics and customs control.
Maintain the stock account.
Management of transfers from Port to branch (NZ, Islands) where required.
Provide shipping and/or transport quotes for team members.
Coordinate across New Zealand, Pacific and Australia inward/outward of Main Machines, Trucks & Buses.
Procurement Conduct/transact inventory procurement of main machines in accordance with director sign off.
Review inventory procurement of byproducts and parts.
Review job related, ad hoc procurement against supplier invoice.
Facilitate with margin improvement and margin protection.
Key Supplier Management Day to day coordination with suppliers regarding logistics, procurement, product specifications and any issues.
Facilitate with supply chain management, developing and managing suppliers.
Job Pre-requisites: At least five years of relevant work experience; or significant depth of knowledge with a Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in relevant field.
Ability to understand and manage technical products.
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
