With 16 specialist representatives servicing customers throughout New Zealand and a total of over 50 staff. Distributing into the merchant channel and to the civil construction and building industry. With strong existing relationships, excellent supply lines, they have a proven history of building the capability of their staff internally and retaining them long-term. About the role: Executing strategic projects across a portfolio of products Managing the entire process of bringing new products to market Developing product line strategies and product roadmaps that meet customer needs, while optimising revenue and profitability Developing business cases and other appropriate financial analysis Identifying trends and future needs within the market and qualifying them as potential business opportunities Leading new product development processes through strategy development, product specifications, competitive intelligence, and engagement of cross-functional resources Driving collaboration with multiple functions including marketing, sales, manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering to achieve the successful execution of product plans and the development of product roadmaps. About you: You have product management experience within the building and/or construction industry. You must have experience with the entire product launch process and have worked through the phase gate process. You are comfortable and hands-on with the product – you have the confidence to pick the product apart, understand the application, put it back together, etc. You are execution-oriented, able to analyze and determine if a new product is strategically viable and meets the ever-changing market needs. You are technically minded with strong business acumen and a solid understanding of channel-to-market.
