In this role, you will play a pivotal role in steering the development of our smart panel ecosystem. You will sit at the intersection of technology, people, and business.Leveraging your understanding of product development, technical complexity, and product management methods, you will guide the creation of cutting-edge products that push boundaries and exceed customer expectations.Some of the things that you might be involved in include:Lead the completion of metering initiatives in New Zealand, building on previous progress.Support operational processes during our metering launch. Assisting with manual workflows until you establish automation and drive digitisation efforts to reduce operational burden and improve efficiency.Develop partnerships with retailers and other stakeholders, to deliver outcomes across various platforms and hardware.Shape data and flexibility offerings for global markets, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Maximise revenue opportunities from smart panels, focused on commercialisation of consumption data.Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to address business, technical and delivery requirements.This is not your traditional Product Manager role, as it will involve navigating complex regulatory challenges, and a high level of stakeholder management. This role is critical to our product launch at the end of Q1 next year so we are looking for someone who is up for a challenge, and is capable of getting stuck into a role and up to speed quickly.Please note; the successful candidate must be willing to travel internationally (particularly to Australia) as required.About YouWe think you'll be a fit for this role if you have the following skills or traits:5+ years of experience in product management or equivalent expertise gained through diverse experiences.Experience with embedded systems and hardware development a plus.Experience in navigating regulatory frameworks and environments.Experience in electricity, energy, or other technically complex industries preferred.Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to lead and collaborate effectively.Extensive experience with stakeholder management both inside and outside the organisation you are employed in.Excellent strategic mindset problem-solving capabilities.Proficient in Agile software tools.Determination and tenacity, maintaining a positive attitude in challenging situations.Clear, candid and concise communication skills - both written and verbal, but also an ability to be kind and compassionate when dealing with others.Some nice-to-haves include:Experience managing products in the energy data and flexibility space is highly desirable but not essential.Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet ~ 60% of the job criteria, women and other marginalised groups tend to apply only when they check every box.
