Gentrack New Zealand is currently hiring a Product Engineering Manager! We are looking for an Engineering Manager in the Delivery Engineering Product Technology team to lead and guide teams and individuals responsible for delivering products, maintenance, and new technology to our customers in New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and maintaining a high degree of quality in the core software product roadmap. We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader who can drive ongoing improvement and innovation, foster a high-performing team environment, and connect the work to the wider business context.
In this role you can expect to:
Lead and guide teams and individuals responsible for delivering products, maintenance, and new technology
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies in New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore
Maintain a high degree of quality in the core software product roadmap
Drive ongoing improvement and innovation across all facets of the technology department
Foster a high-performing team environment and grow the Gentrack brand
Understand emerging technologies and their impact on customers
Work with other senior staff and leaders to drive innovation across APAC
Facilitate team growth through an "experiment and learn" mindset
What you need to be successful:
Experience in managing software development teams
Product management and solution architecture experience
Utility domain knowledge is highly desired
A passion for people and a track record of nurturing and growing them to be the best they can be
A 'host leader' mindset
Experience and ideas for influencing change and growth of development teams in key technology areas such as AWS
A relentless drive for continuous improvement in processes, others, and yourself
Exceptional communication skills and being a good listener
