It's about making everyday food better for everyone.Goodman Fielder is a leading global food company, and the custodian of a host of iconic Kiwi brands like Natures Fresh, Freya's, Molenberg, Vogels and Meadow Fresh that generations of New Zealand have grown up with and put in their supermarket trolleys every week.We might be biased but we believe our team here at Goodman Fielder is an amazing place to work, and a great team to be part of!The OpportunityDue to an internal promotion we're seeking a passionate and innovative Product Development Technologist to join our dynamic Research & Development team in Auckland.This is your chance to step into a technical hands-on role where you'll craft the next big thing in baking, working with a team that thrives on creativity and collaboration.The RoleAs a key player in our baking R&D team, you'll work hands-on to develop groundbreaking products for both International and Domestic markets.
You'll create and refine recipes, support product trials, and ensure our systems run seamlessly to keep production at its best.Your responsibilities will include:Creating lab concepts and preparing bench-top samples to support product innovation.Conducting trials to maintain quality standards and support production improvements.Collaborating on product improvement, cost-saving, and new development projects.Maintaining our recipe development systems and conducting sensory testing.Supporting our R&D audited quality systems and Continuous Improvement processes.Traveling to sites to assist in production trials as needed.About YouYou'll be the perfect fit if you're a creative problem-solver with baking expertise and a background in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or Food Nutrition.We're looking for someone with:Proven experience in a Product Development role, ideally within the baking industry.A degree in Food Technology, Science, Engineering, or Nutrition (essential).Strong communication and relationship management skills.The ability to balance independent projects with collaborative teamwork.Mandarin proficiency would be a bonus for our team but not essential.What can we offer you?With sites spanning across the New Zealand region, working as part of a highly driven team at Goodman Fielder, you can expect to work with leading technologies producing a variety of the most reputable brands in New ZealandAt Goodman Fielder, we aim to be a destination employer in the food industry where we don't just offer jobs - we offer long term careers.
