At Bovonic, we pride ourselves on fostering a great team culture where everyone enjoys what they do and works together to achieve our shared goals.JOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a hands-on and experienced individual to lead the development and validation of new features for our products, as well as enhance existing functionalities. This role involves coordinating with engineering partners, hands-on development and testing, and incorporating customer feedback. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, experience in product development, and a passion for the agricultural industry.RESPONSIBILITIES:Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.Team Coordination: Coordinate a team of engineering partners and contractors to develop new features, including new metrics and alerts for farmers, improved connectivity, and integration with other systems.Customer Feedback Tracking: Log and track customer issues, suggestions, and feedback. Observe and analyse these inputs to identify potential product improvements.Issue Resolution: Develop, implement and report on solutions for identified improvements, ensuring that customer feedback is addressed promptly and effectively.Brainstorming and Concept Validation: Lead brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas, and trial and validate new concepts to ensure feasibility, value, and effectiveness.Testing and Trials: Plan and execute testing and trials of new features to ensure product reliability and effectiveness.Research and Writing: Keep up-to-date with the latest research, conduct literature reviews, and write white papers and journal articles to share our latest findings and innovations.Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and operations teams to align product development with market needs, supply chain, and customer feedback.REQUIREMENTS:Science or Engineering Degree.Proven experience in product development, preferably within the agricultural industry.Experience in hands-on product development and testing.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical articles and documentation.Understanding of one or more of PCBA and firmware design, algorithm development, wireless connectivity, electrical conductivity measurement, electrical enclosure design, and/or sensor design.If you are passionate about agriculture and technology, and have a track record of success in product development, we want to hear from you.
