Reporting to the Product Engineering/Compliance Manager in our Seasonal division, you will work closely with Sales & Marketing and Product Development teams across New Zealand, Australia, and China.This is an exciting time for Shriro Group as we embark on a transformative journey, expanding our international portfolio and continuing to innovate. The role is based onsite 5 days at Shriro Australia in Chatswood, NSW.Key Responsibilities:Assist in creating detailed design documentation and specifications for manufacturing.Co-develop and design products from concept to production, including BOM preparation with high-level details.Collaborate with engineering, production, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.Ensure Quality Control by monitoring project progress and resolving issues to maintain compliance with industry standards.Create and test prototypes, working closely with R&D, and iterating designs based on feedback.Oversee or conduct testing on materials, components, and products to ensure functionality, durability, and reliability.Analyse test data, make necessary adjustments, and validate product performance.Communicate proactively with overseas quality assurance teams regarding certifications, testing, and compliance.Ensure designs comply with safety and regulatory standards, managing certifications such as electrical, gas, and water.Liaise with test laboratories and certifying bodies, coordinating product audits.Oversee the approval process for Watermark, GEMS, WELS, and gas-related products.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Technical Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, with the ability to design for feasibility and cost-effectiveness.Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards for products in various markets.Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.Familiarity with BOM preparation, prototype testing, and design validation processes.Ability to manage and communicate with diverse stakeholders including sales, marketing, suppliers, regulators, and end-users.Experience managing project timelines and working across multiple regions.Self-motivated, able to work independently, and manage your own schedules.We are an ASX-listed, Australian-owned leader in consumer products, with operations across multiple countries.
