We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our business and be part of our success.Our OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Product Commercialisation Technologist to join our Palmerston North-based R&D team.As our Product Commercialisation Technologist, you will play a pivotal part in our high-performing team by overseeing the seamless integration of R&D projects across our Longburn and Yoplait factories.You will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing product and processing solutions that align with our strategic business objectives.Depending on your knowledge and experience, we may offer this as a Senior role.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and improvement of dairy products (yoghurt, fresh milk and cheese), manage tender processes, and support capital projectsDesign and conduct factory trials, oversee first production runs, and commercialize new dairy productsDevelop and communicate project timelines and key milestones, maintaining comprehensive records and documentationApply project management and technical skills to organize and manage dairy product commercialization projects, ensuring thorough risk management throughout the processBuild and maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Quality staff, Planning, Procurement, Marketing, and external stakeholdersMaintain comprehensive records and documentation of all key development activities, including raw material & finished product specifications, factory trial reports and SAP dataAbout YouQualification in Food Technology or Sciences/Food Chemistry/ Food Engineering/ ChemistryStrong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholdersExperience in a production site-based technical role in the dairy industry is essentialOccasionally flexible hours working requiredExposure to the development and commercialization of dairy products such as yoghurt, fresh/UHT milk, and cheese highly desirableHands on project management experience with a systematic approach to problem-solving and time managementKnowledge and experience with ultrafiltration (UF), homogenization, pasteurization and ultra-high temperature (UHT) processing is a significant advantageWhat We OfferYou will be joining a driven team of professionals who love food, have fun and genuinely enjoy working together, resulting in a highly collaborative environment.
