Your role A new Graduate Product Application Engineer will embark on an exciting journey alongside seasoned professionals. These mentors will not only guide but also deeply involve the new hire in the company's dynamic realm. The role entails testing, data analysis, defect reporting, feature design, and preparing releases for the company's cutting-edge Mapping and GIS products. This individual will dive into the heart of innovation as they contribute to refining updates for the revolutionary "Terraflex" mobile field software. Responsibilities: Collect data for receiver characterization. You will be provided with guidelines on the required data collection requirements, from which you will need to interpret, plan, and then execute on, as well as process the data collected back in the office. Some of these datasets will require long sessions or repeat setups. Assistance with planning and setup will be given where needed. Data will be shared with other engineers for analysis. A report is expected for each dataset that summarizes the method, findings, and links to data. Device compatibility testing. You will verify that a variety of supported Android/iOS/Windows devices work suitably with their field software. Verify application integration. You will be required to test new features in their products. This will include reporting bugs or improvements to the eJIRA dashboard, running zephyr test cases, and verifying/retesting the fixes that are assigned to you. You will also be asked to provide feedback to Product Managers and Engineers on any new features/functionality that you are testing. System testing. You will be required to complete end-to-end testing of the product from a customer perspective. This may involve the setup of a mock customer project (real-world scenario), field day data collection off-site, and finally data collation and analysis back in the office. You will be expected to share your findings. You will be asked to summarize your testing every week during their weekly test team sync-ups and highlight any concerns or major issues you found. Any other duties directed by Management as and when required. Whichever team you join, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, and be provided with challenging, meaningful tasks that will give you insight into what it's like working full-time as a valued member of a team.
