Produce Manager - New World Durham Street We have a rare opportunity for someone to join our amazing Produce department, leading the team to success.
New World Durham Street is Christchurch's next-level supermarket experience and we are proudly locally owned and operated!
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate produce specialist with relevant experience to lead the daily running of our stand-out produce department!
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be running a produce department that has firmly established itself as the go-to destination in Christchurch when it comes to quality, range, freshness, presentation, and staff expertise.
Days and hours will be discussed at interview stage.

Your day to day: Organise and lead the daily operations of the produce department Provide engaging leadership for all the produce team members Ensure the shop is presented to a very high standard at all times Ensure your team is providing 'next level' customer service Utilising SAP to its full potential to ensure KPIs are met Leading the team including delegating, giving feedback and training Working in a team environment – having great communication skills Ensure that the department is in line with Durham Street vision and values - think quality and customer service Adhering to all food safety and health and safety standards What we need from you: Extensive produce experience preferred Resilience Organisation and strong planning ability A passion for leading and creating a dynamic team Proven record of high performance Experience in Microsoft Office functions and use of SAP is preferred Good product knowledge Strong levels of commitment to the business Honest and reliable So go on – show us how your passion and personality are the perfect fit to create a memorable shopping experience for our customers!
