Procurement Technician

Napier Port is located in Hawkes Bay and is New Zealand's fourth largest port, providing a range of port and logistical services (marine, handling, and value add services).The Assets & Infrastructure Team have consistently supported a changing operation and delivered reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence. To elevate this further, we are placing a greater importance on the responsible, ethical, and transparent supply of parts, equipment, and service providers applied across our teams.Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager and the Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Technician is a key enabler of delivering our operational objectives by ensuring that our internal supply chain provides value and supports our technical activities.Key priorities:Day to day procurement and goods receival functionsAssist with the co-ordination of technical operations activitiesSupporting technical leads by ensuring that required inventory is available to enable activities to occur in an efficient way.Vendor and service provider oversight.Promote and contribute to a "One Team" cultureContribute to broader health and safety initiativesMonitor product usage and leverage data and technology to optimize our supply chain and inventoryContribute to promoting a sustainable and ethical supply chainThe successful candidate will have experience in procurement and logistics and a strong level of attention to detail, time management, and communication. They may also have experience with compliance and governance.
