The primary objective is to have the "right goods on the right shelf at the right time".
This is no easy task.
The stores at Kapuni hold approximately 13,500 items on the shelf at any one time.
Value of stores items is approximately $17m (including capital spares).
We are looking for a person to build and develop the purchasing and stores team within the maintenance function.
The Procurement Supervisor will also be required to: Support the Ballance corporate procurement team in the supply of goods and services.
Coach, support and develop the stores and purchasing team in order to create a dynamic and engaged unit that delivers a world class stores performance Develop relationships with key stakeholders on site as well as suppliers and sub-suppliers ABOUT YOU On top of your leadership skills you will: Have previous purchasing and stores experience Have an understanding of the MRO purchasing process Possess the ability to analyse process gaps and provide solutions Investigate errors in the purchasing systems and generate corrective actions Previous SAP experience would be beneficial, though not essential.
