ADA New Zealand (ADANZ) is a new subsidiary of ADA and recently secured the NZDF Wearables Supply and Managed Services contract.
The Role The Procurement Officer plays a critical role in our business by controlling costs, minimizing financial risks, improving financial performance, and ensuring that we have the right goods in the right place at the right price at the right time.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager NZ, this role is an integral part of the Operational team.
The Role Responsibilities Relationship Management – develop and maintain effective relationships to foster and encourage collaboration Negotiation – develop strong professional relationships with supplier portfolio Measure and monitor quality and supplier performance Provide regular feedback to supplier base Risk management – identify, mitigate and monitor risk Liaise with suppliers to monitor order status, delivery, and manage backorders Assist with warranty claims and provide product information to clients Ensure supplier compliance with our environmental, social, and health and safety policies Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring KPI targets are achieved and regularly reviewed Identify procurement savings and implement initiatives to reduce total supply chain costs Monitoring and maintaining system information on all open order due dates Ensuring all data is accurate for vendor part numbers, cost price and barcodes Working closely with suppliers to identify any products that are to be superseded or deleted Arranging supplier meetings to ensure the company is up to date with new products / innovations The Ideal Candidate 3+ years' experience in a strategic procurement role Related industry knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach Highly organised, with great time management and attention to detail Experience with supply chain systems and tools such as Microsoft D365 Able to analyse situations and make sound decisions and recommendations Can effectively build rapport with suppliers and deliver outcomes in a professional manner Team player who takes initiative and adapts quickly to changes What can we offer you?
