THE ROLE
We have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to advance their career in our growing Procurement and Logistics team. A permanent full-time position in our Hamilton office, working Monday to Friday, you will have the opportunity to make your mark in the business.
Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to provide efficient and cost-effective purchasing, stock delivery and materials management across the business to enable smooth operations.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Buy and source products and services as required by the business, monitoring continuity of supply and ensuring optimal value and quality.
Review and analyse end-user and supplier behaviour. Promote and advise on improvements to optimise the supply chain.
Manage order consolidation and invoice approval processes.
Stock management, including cycle counts, replenishment and stock takes. Work with internal stakeholders to improve inventory control processes and systems.
Support the standardisation of product and vendor reduction programmes, and other projects aligned with department strategy.
ABOUT YOU
NCEA level 3 or equivalent.
2-3 years experience in stores/materials management, stock-taking and vendor management.
Expertise in inventory management.
Hazardous chemical handling experience/certification.
Negotiation and vendor management abilities.
Audit and record keeping skills.
