Our people are passionate about innovation and work together to push boundaries, making a difference for future generations.The OpportunityOur Procurement Manager position is focussed on leading the procurement activities that support our business objectives and strategies, by implementing and maintaining systems, optimizing costs, and managing the quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. You will manage and organise the activities involved with the identification and acquisition of parts/materials and be the primary contact for key suppliers leading the associated negotiations.Our Procurement Manager will utilise their proven leadership experience when leading and continually developing a high performing, effective and efficient procurement team. Working collaboratively with the Head of Manufacturing, you will develop the strategy for Procurement within RP, and work closely with the Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to achieve RP's growth plans.With agricultural robotics becoming an increasingly competitive market and the supply chain challenges being encountered globally, our new Procurement Manager will bring in fresh ideas and strategies that will allow us to deliver our products at higher quantities and at a faster rate to the market.Bachelor's degree (or similar) in commerce, finance, business orarelated field.Highly skilled Procurement/Supply Chain specialist with 7+ years demonstrated experience.Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.Technical Buying experience.Proven experience in Contract negotiations.Previous experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and how they operate.Strong business acumen, enthusiastic and ambitious.Natural and authentic leadership skills, team player and can-do attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong proven problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues and manage risk.Budgeting and cost control experience and knowledge.This is a full time/ permanent role, based at our Manufacturing facility in Tauriko – a central and convenient location in Tauranga.Not always does a candidate need to meet every single skill or experience listed in an advert to be successful in a role.
