Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Join us at Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC) and be part of a significant initiative that is reshaping the highway and rail networks in Te Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Te Matau a Maui (Hawke's Bay).As an alliance comprising Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, Downer, Fulton Hogan, and Higgins, we are dedicated to planning, organising, and executing the crucial recovery and rebuild efforts in collaboration with local businesses and contractors.We are currently seeking an experienced  Procurement Category Manager who will be responsible for the effective management of TREC's Supplier and Contractor Panel including sourcing, appointing, on-boarding and performance management of suppliers and assist with other tasks within the procurement team as required.The role will work closely at an operational level with the TREC internal stakeholders such as the projects team, resource planners, commercial, planning and project controls to ensure that the business has the suppliers required that are fit for purpose to deliver on Alliance objectives.What we need from you:Experience in Category Management or Supplier Management roles and managing a large number of supplier categories.Tertiary qualified in a Business/Commercial related degree desirable.Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work.Strong stakeholder focus and ability to communicate professionally and effectively at various levels, building strong relationships along the way.If you're interested in learning more, please submit your CV for a confidential discussion.
