Procurement Business Partner - Infrastructure Asset Management and OperationsNew Zealand Transport Agency – Wellington, North IslandJoin our growing team in this strategically charged role.Support our busy Infrastructure Asset Management and Operations functions.Flexible, friendly, and high performing work environment.As our new Procurement Business Partner – Infrastructure Asset Management and Operations, you will be the primary point of strategic procurement and commercial leadership, direction, and advice related to Infrastructure Asset Management and Operations at NZTA Waka Kotahi. This strategic leadership position will cover procurement activities across the entire procurement lifecycle.As one of our team of four Procurement Business Partners, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Waka Kotahi to understand their business challenges, objectives, and strategies in order to develop and deliver commercial strategies that support the achievement of their strategic goals and deliver value-for-money outcomes for NZTA in an effective and efficient way. You will develop and plan their procurement activity in collaboration with the Procurement Delivery team and other teams within the Procurement team as necessary.The likely appointment range for this position is $186,264 to $227,656. And whether it's on-the-job experience, signing up for a course, coaching opportunities, or secondments to other roles within NZTA – you can build a varied and successful career with us and grow your potential.Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box):Relevant experience in a similar business partner or senior category management role relating to infrastructure and/or asset management and maintenance.Experience in a public sector context and working knowledge of New Zealand Government procurement policy.Expertise in the procurement life cycle of complex goods and services.Deep knowledge and practical experience in the provision of technical and strategic procurement advice to stakeholders in a complex matrix organisation.Advanced level of commercial acumen, including commercial contracting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.A tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience, with CIPS or related professional industry membership preferred.Ko wai matou | About usThe Procurement function at NZTA is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the supply of external resources to NZTA.
