Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The key purpose of this role is to develop and execute Procurement Category Strategies and Plans and deliver Supplier and Contract Management outcomes to enable the best possible 'value for money' outcomes for Auckland Transport (AT).
The role will consider the 'whole of life cost' of the goods, services or works being procured, and will position Auckland Transport as 'customer of choice' for its suppliers.
Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain a Category Plan with the relevant business unitsReport on progress and key metrics for the CategoryWork proactively with the relevant business units to develop understanding of the timing and business need for each procurementLead and own the development of Procurement/Supplier Selection Plans with relevant business units and progress the approval of those plans to meet programme requirementsImplement the plans through sourcing/market activitiesSupport relevant business units to implement supplier and contract management frameworkSupport, coordinate and, where appropriate, lead the ongoing supplier and contract performance management processesNa tau rourou | What will you bring? Minimum 2 - 3 years in a Procurement role within a large or complex organisationPrevious accountability for spend with experience across category management, sourcing and supplier relationship and contract performance managementDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time whilst still meeting deadlinesCIPS Diploma of Procurement and Supply or equivalent level professional qualification (preferred)At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.
