Mo te tunga | About the role As a Procurement Adviser, you'll provide specialist procurement advice and assistance across the Department.
As part of the Commissioning for Outcomes team, you will manage social procurement for a range of services essential to the smooth operation of our estate, including both the community and prison network.
The team is close-knit, values each other's strengths, and consistently achieves great results together.
You will be responsible for managing relationships with business partners across the National Office and Regional Offices, collaborating with partners and suppliers to apply critical thinking and ensure needs are understood and met.
You will lead end-to-end procurement processes and will be instrumental in commissioning approaches.

Nga pukenga e kimi ana matou | What you will bring to the role A background in Government procurement rules and processes and a solid understanding of the practical application of current best practice.An understanding of the Social Sector Commissioning Action Plan 2022 – 2028, and familiarity with the newly established Social Investment Agency.The ability to build strong relationships with a range of people and a desire for your mahi to make a real difference.Experience in a social procurement role, and an eye for detail to ensure that documents supporting our procurement initiatives pass the closest of scrutiny.The midpoint of the salary range is $106,789 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $90,771 - $128,147 per annum.
Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
