Our friendly Processing team, within Financial Services, is seeking a Processing Officer.
On offer is a permanent part-time role, 34 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities for this role include: Update and maintain Council's computer and manual systems with current property information.Process invoices and credit notes accurately and timely.Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation processes as agreed.Assist in property numbering, street naming, and sign management throughout the district and process notices of sales.Maintain accurate Debtor Master files, adhering to appropriate separation of duties.Collaborate across all Processing team functions, providing flexible support and expertise as needed.What you will bring: NCEA or equivalent to level 2 with passes in English, Mathematics, and Computing.1-3 years' experience in a financial and/or administration function.Demonstrated strong computer skills, especially in accounting software and Microsoft Office.Commitment to understanding and meeting customer service needs.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in capturing information.What we offer: Career progression and training/development opportunities.Positive focus on employee health and well-being: Workstation assessments, free flu vaccines, EAP services, 50% off eye exams, discounted gym memberships, etc.Kiwisaver and Superannuation Schemes.Access to sick leave from day one of employment.Appointment time leave: Up to 2 hours for important appointments (e.g., Doctor, bank, dentist).Waihopai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland.
