Description As a leading global recruitment company, we are searching for the ideal candidate to support our client in Wiri. In this role, you'll be packing meat products on the line and preparing box supplies for distribution across New Zealand. Key Responsibilities:
Safely process and inspect raw materials according to quality specifications.
Operate allocated production lines, efficiently performing processing tasks to meet individual and group targets.
Perform manual handling duties, including lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, and reaching.
Be a reliable and respectful team member who honors work commitments.
Actively engage in safety practices, following all safety rules and being mindful of potential risks.
Maintain a clean workspace and perform cleaning duties as required.
Adhere to high levels of personal hygiene while working with fresh food in a cold environment.
Store and maintain materials, equipment, and tools appropriately.
Identify and escalate food safety and quality issues, hazards, and risks.
Collaborate with department team leaders and colleagues to achieve production targets.
Ensure all business activities comply with relevant legislation, legal standards, and ethical practices.
Uphold company policies and procedures to maintain best practices at all times.
Adhere to the company's environmental policy.
Work Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with work health and safety regulations.
Promote and communicate health, safety, and environmental matters to relevant staff.
Skills:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and systematically in accordance with policies and standards.
Proficiency in understanding and following instructions and procedures.
Proven teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with others.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A demonstrated record of reliability and motivation.
Ability to respond calmly and methodically to challenges.
Good physical fitness is required, as manual handling of up to 10 kg is involved.
