The Role
Reporting to a newly appointed Co-Extrusion Line Manager, we are seeking experienced Process Operators preferably with Pet or Meat sector food manufacturing experience to join our busy team at King Country Pet Food.
In this role you will be responsible for a variety of duties as assigned each day. Duties include, but are not limited to preparing meat and other ingredients, mixing recipes, batching and weighing, processing pre-mixes in required machinery, loading and unloading of trolleys ready for drying, setting up the line ready for packing, packing and boxing, palletising and wrapping, cleaning, and any other general production line work as required. Being efficient and able to work at a fast pace, thinking on your feet, and paying attention to detail, is vital due to the high-volume output of our operation.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, where initiative and good communication skills are essential. You will be self-starter with a solid work ethic and keen to contribute to our business's success.
We are offering several full-time positions, with some flexibility required around shift rostering. There may be occasional overtime, but this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Key Job / Role Responsibilities
Checking Recipes and the raw ingredients going into product.
Preparing dry and wet ingredients / batching.
Mixing and processing ingredients
Loading and unloading trolleys ready for product drying
Packing / Labeling product
Wrapping and palletising product ready for shipping
Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
Cleaning / Hygiene - Ensuring all areas and equipment are cleaned to MPI standards (pre-opp / post opp)
Basic administration duties (completing paperwork) as per your role requirements on a day-to-day basis.
Ensuring Health, Safety and Environment and Quality Management policies and procedures are adhered to.
Participating in mandatory training as and when required.
Support the business by identifying new opportunities.
Assist in other areas of production as may be required from time to time.

Basic food hygiene understanding or qualification

Experience in the pet food / meat industry
Experience in a food manufacturing role
Export Food Safety and Compliance knowledge
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word) and proficiency using a computer for various tasks;
