About the opportunity | Mo tenei turanga Our Palmerston North site is looking for a motivated individual to join our manufacturing team in a full-time permanent opportunity. As an essential New Zealand food manufacturing business, never has it been more important for us to deliver to every New Zealander who is counting on us. As a Process Operator you will be working in the beverages plant receiving raw milk & by-products and preparing it for further processing, using a variety of processes. Along with that, you will have the opportunity to be trained to operate fillers, packers and the cool room operation. Your key responsibilities will include: Setting up, monitoring and operating automated production machinery. Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world class standards of hygiene. Running machine diagnostics and problem solving. Ensuring documentation is correct and complete. Equipment ownership of plant machinery. Cleaning of plant machinery as required. Hours of work for this position are 6:00AM – 6:30PM with a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off. Experience in this industry is ideal, but not necessary. We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about growing their skill set. Your high attention to detail and sound problem-solving skills will ensure things run smoothly - as you won't just identify the problem, you'll be part of finding and implementing the solution. Together with a can-do attitude and good work ethic, you'll be able to demonstrate a background of: Strong focus on health and safety. Understanding the basic IWS systems.
