About the role | Ko te mahi neiThis position gives you the opportunity to design and implement good practice for functional and non-functional testing with monitoring methods to measure effectiveness and provide continuous improvements within the Development and Quality Assurance Team at the council.
Additionally, you will be required to:Lead and direct development of manual as well as automated test solutions for projectsManagement of the testing activities on the project, adapting to the project needs and making sure that all appropriate aspects of testing are considered from functional to non-functionalDesign and implement standard testing and validation methods by coordinating with the Software Developer and Auto Test EngineerAnalyse Software Architecture Design documents and use cases and write/update test requirement matricesControl effective use of tools, automation and ensure that process is followed for the maintenance of test automationDesign and implementation of regression testing techniques to enhance quality and productivityWrite, develop and/or update test scripts and follow the processes in place for the maintenance of automated testsIdentify and report all testing-related issues and risks that may impact on the quality and/or delivery time of the test outputEstablish a program to enable and deliver effective interface monitoring, define a methodology to analyse and interpret baselines metrics and track baseline metricsIn this role there is high level of analysis and data analysing, so your attitude and ability to problem solve will be key, along with your confidence in resolving problems.
You will also have:8-10 years' experience in a self-managing/autonomous role in a medium to large complex organisationPrevious Test Lead experience - must have led teams of 3+ testers for a minimum of 3 years and at least 7 years overall industry experienceDemonstrated experience of achieving results and managing the performance of projects and systemsFamiliarity with industry standard terms and techniques for testing and be able to apply themA high level of analysis skills, analysing data models and use cases (or other forms of user/functional requirements)Able to develop test cases from high-level system documents (e.g.
from use cases, functional requirements, functional design specifications)General knowledge of testing tools and testing environment considerationsWhat's in it for you?
